I've come to realize that, out of all animated movie villains, Hexxus from FernGully: The Last Rainforest is the greatest of them all. There are many reasons to support this, as I have listed below:

- Voiced by Tim Curry, who is without a doubt one of the finest actors of our day. Watch his performance in Clue and you'll see what I mean.
- Is made out of fucking SMOG and sludge and all sorts of nasty chemicals like cyanide and all that.
- Has the ability to take control of complex machinery. Case in point: The Leveller. A logging device that puts every other machine to shame.
- Has contempt for all living things. None of this "Oh I hate all living things OH WAIT NO I DON'T" shit.
- Is more or less invincible: they can't even kill him in the movie. All they can do is trap him in a tree.
- Has one of the best musical parts in the history of musical parts in a movie (see below).
- Makes pollution sound awesome (also see below).
